An Evening With Guitarist, Singer / Songwriter, Kate Rockey

New to the West Coast, Kate Rockey comes to Walnut Creek from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Her style has been compared to the Indigo Girls, Natalie Merchant, and Dave Matthews. Her songs are about life and her audience feels understood and uplifted. Her music is edgy, artful, thought provoking and soothing.

This was my first public performance here on the west coast. I was a little anxious going into it... being a bit out of practice... I almost didn't invite anyone.

But it turned out to be a very enjoyable evening. As with just about any performance, I am now freshly inspired to practice more, play more, look for more oppertunities to perform, think about recruiting band members, think about who to invite to the next show, etc.

They've invited me back to play on Sunday November 21st from 3-4pm.
